Ways to Get Involved

Research & Technical Contributions

Members and contributors may participate in:

  • Development of PHY, MAC, and higher-layer radio modules
  • Development of core network modules
  • Development of protocols
  • AI/ML/DL-based radio intelligence, including:
  • Spectrum sensing
  • Modulation classification
  • Channel prediction
  • Channel ON–OFF duration prediction
  • Proposing extensions aligned with the YESDR standard architecture

Software Contributions

Contributors can:

  • Develop Python or C++ modules aligned with YESDR APIs
  • Improve performance, modularity, and portability
  • Submit bug reports, fixes, and feature enhancements

All software contributions must comply with the YESDR policies.


Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

You may also contribute by:

  • Improving technical documentation and specifications
  • Writing tutorials, experiment workflows, and lab guides
  • Assisting with API standardization
  • Supporting educational adoption across institutions

Documentation contributions follow the same review and policy process.


Academic Collaboration

Institutions and research groups can:

  • Adopt YESDR for SDR, 5G, and 6G laboratory courses
  • Use YESDR for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral research
  • Collaborate on joint publications and technical reports
  • Deploy YESDR-based academic or research testbeds

Industry & Startup Engagement

Industry partners may:

  • Prototype and evaluate wireless products
  • Use YESDR as a reference implementation
  • Collaborate on applied research and pilots
  • Sponsor features, testbeds, or student innovation
