1. Purpose¶
This Membership Application Policy defines the procedures, requirements, and evaluation process for organizations and individuals seeking membership in the YesDR Consortium. The policy ensures a transparent, fair, and structured approach to consortium participation.
2. Scope¶
This policy applies to all applicants requesting membership in the YesDR Consortium, including academic institutions, startups, industry participants, and individual contributors.
3. Eligibility Criteria¶
3.1 General Eligibility¶
Applicants must: - Support the objectives and mission of the YesDR Consortium - Agree to comply with consortium policies, including governance, contribution, and intellectual property rules - Demonstrate a legitimate interest in cellular wireless systems, SDR, 5G/6G, or related technologies
3.2 Category-Specific Eligibility¶
Academic Members¶
- Accredited educational or research institutions
- Engagement in teaching or research related to wireless communication, networking, or AI-driven systems
Startup / SME Members¶
- Legally registered organizations
- Active or planned work in wireless, SDR, 5G/6G, or AI-based communication systems
Industry Members¶
- Established companies in telecom, networking, hardware, software, or related domains
- Interest in evaluation, deployment, or contribution to YesDR technologies
Individual Members¶
- Independent researchers, faculty, students, or professionals
- Participation in a non-commercial or limited individual capacity
Strategic / Founding Members¶
- Organizations providing significant technical, infrastructure, or financial contributions to the YesDR ecosystem
4. Application Process¶
4.1 Submission¶
Applicants shall submit a membership application containing: - Applicant name and legal status - Membership category requested - Brief description of technical background and interest in YesDR - Intended level of participation (research, development, review, deployment) - Primary contact details
Applications shall be submitted through the official YesDR Consortium channel (e.g., website form or designated email address).
4.2 Review¶
- Applications are reviewed by the YesDR Consortium Steering Committee or a delegated review panel.
- The review process evaluates alignment with consortium objectives and eligibility criteria.
- Additional information may be requested from the applicant if required.
4.3 Decision¶
- Applicants will be notified of acceptance, conditional acceptance, or rejection.
- The consortium reserves the right to accept or reject applications at its discretion.
- Decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
5. Membership Activation¶
Membership becomes active upon: - Formal acceptance by the consortium - Completion of required documentation - Payment of applicable membership fees (if any)
Access to member-specific benefits is granted only after activation.
6. Rights and Responsibilities of Applicants¶
